Well known schema tuning Gnome Desktop Manager and running Xvnc via xinetd worked fine for Ubuntu Hardy and Intrepid PV DomUs fails for Ubuntu 9.04 Server PV DomU . Setup vncserver to start via /etc/rc.local and /usr/bin/gnome-session via ~/.vnc/xstartup known as a way to manage on Debian Etch appears to be the only one option for Ubuntu Jaunty Server release candidate in meantime.
