The scam of intellectual property is an obscenity and ought not be tolerated by sentient beings.
These are not "abuses" of intellectual property law, it is intellectual property law itself that is the abuse.
There is no solution or balance to be reached in its application. Its abolition and the prosecution of those who have promoted and profited by it is the only solution.
The human species cannot advance so long as the concept of intellectual property in any form exists.
