Earlier this year, ActiveState conducted a survey of users who had downloaded our distribution of Perl over the prior year and a half. We received 356 responses–99 commercial users and 257 individual users. I've been using Perl for a long time, and I expected that lengthy experience would be typical of the Perl community.
