So giddy was I that the OpenBSD CD agreed to boot on my converted Maxspeed Maxterm thin client (with a VIA C3 Samuel processor that wouldn't allow the install of FreeBSD, NetBSD, DesktopBSD or PC-BSD) that I immediately launched into an install today. Whoa. I can't remember an installation process that was this geeky. You MUST have the instructions in front of you, or you will get nowhere fast.

Let me get this straight. You don't understand how a software package works, so that is the fault of the programmer? Here's a tip: How about LEARNING something?

This type of article annoys me, because people should spend some time and energy LEARNING about their subject before putting pen to paper (or finger to keyboard as the case may be) instead of simply writing rubbish.

Open your minds people. Once installed and properly configured, OpenBSD running a Desktop environment (like KDE or GNOME) is barely discernible from any Linux distribution. That said, I prefer Linux and use it on a daily basis.
