The Open-PC project, which developed an open source Linux PC based on community survey requests, says its KDE-flavored nettop will ship next month. The Open-PC is equipped with a 1.6GHz dual-core Atom N330 with 3GB RAM, but the nettop's high $500 price has stirred some controversy. Read More... |
Hm! :) All in all, despite all the apparent whining and moaning about various aspects of this project, I think it's a cool project, particularly in that some part of the price goes back into FOSS.
As for the price itself, I think each person would need to make their own decision as to if it's a good price, good value, etc. Depends on how one looks at it, and what one expects (wants) for their money. Cool :cool: |
