Great article. I really have no problem with ESR's position. I just think there should be a clear delineation between "free" and "non-free" distributions. For me, personally, only free (libre) will do, but I have no problem with people choosing to pay for a distro that circumvents that limitation. I am much more incensed at distributions which describe themselves as "free" but are primarily concerned with slipping in as many non-free elements as possible.
