Patent threat or no patent threat, Mono is Microsoft's house. Do you really want to live there? Not me, because it is Microsoft. No other reason is required although many others remain. Plain and simple Microsoft has never been about community, so why would the community marry itself to Microsoft like an abusive husband? I left Windows to be free of Microsoft trash and half-*ss software.
