Lucky for us, there are already plently of good torrent clients for linux.

I'd rather use an open-source torrent client anyway...even if it wasnt for the 'adware' (Conduit Engine) that is appearing newer versions of utorrent.

Exactly, who cares, I am fine with Transmission and KTorrent.

If you like the looks of uTorrent there is a better one from open source, try "Deluge", you can compile it from source, you'll need the right version of python. It has more functionality and has a better look than uTorrent.
