Now let's hope that the game developers will release 32 bit versions of their games, we have 2012, I don't want to go multilib anymore just to play a game.

I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm quite sure that the announcement of Steam for Linux was a decision factor.

In the video those two developers explain that for them a key factor to let this happen is that they are Linux users on their private machines. But Steam going to Linux is definitely something that makes other people in the game industry think twice about Linux support.
