I don't get it. How can a screenlet increase the productivity of a desktop? When I work on a computer I do that mostly in an application window or in terminals, so that I can't see those screenlets. For the same reason I don't have icons on my desktop and start my most used applications with keyboard shortcuts.

I guess it makes sense if you've got a large monitor and your windows are not maximised. Otherwise, it seems a little pointless. I also rely on keyboard shortcuts - they are the true productivity boosters.
