XFCE 4.10 has been released and announced by XFCE development team, it comes with many improvements which include new application finder, a vertical display mode option for the XFCE panel, a new MIME type editor, behavioral changes, and the window manager can be configured to tile windows when dragging them to screen edges. Open Synaptic and choose xfce4

Or apt-get install xfce4

Now was that really so hard?

I thought that installed XFCE 4.8?
I wouldn't mind trying 4.10 myself, thought it sounds frighteningly like it's trying to be like Gnome, KDE or similar from the description in the attached article.

In Debian it is only in the experimental repo so far.
