No great suprise.
Canonical doesnt want to make any option to the unity desktop easier to use, or have as much support as 'normal' ubuntu.
I wonder if this will push the bodhi crowd further toward moving to debian?
Jeff Hogland has said that 'moving to debian brings a slew of other issues' (and I presonally think that the 'stablity issues' are n't really true at all, but thats my opinion)-

Bodhi has a good deal of the Ubuntu bloat cut out by default (they just pre-install stuff most people don't need). Moving to Debian brings a slew of other issues with it though. Namely unless we build on Debian Stable (meaning tons of dated software and even more backporting than I do now) the system is fairly unstable.
If you don't believe me look at the number of issues the "quick fix" thread for LMDE addresses.

But I know they have said they are moving to debian for ARM-

While I'm on the topic of new architectures I'd like to also say we will be moving forward with our Debian based ARM build.
