I don't have a Nexus phone but have a Nexus tablet. When update to Android 5.0 showed up I was on a business trip and needed my tablet to work for GPS, Skype, Wifi etc. I didn't install this update because I was very afraid it would break things. Someone else did it and they had some problem that didn't turn out to be so serious at the end of the day, such is need to reinstall Skype but I didn't want to take any risk. It's even worse with phones - you just can't take a risk of breaking your mobile phone and find yourself completely disconnected. I don't know how many people feel the same way.

Sad thing is, instead of just not installing the update back then I pressed Ignore button or something along the lines and I am stuck with 4.4.4 and have to update manually.

Be interested to see if a number could be really provided, for non technical people who have no idea how to update a system, nor would they want to learn. I would think that number would play with their percentages.
Probably knocked down more by those who would expect if an update were possible, they would want to see it on their products web page (so they know the company has tested it).
