Currently upgrading (via manually added repositories and apt-get in a terminal) to the Pre-Alpha, and so far Unity hasn't replaced GNOME. Will see by Alpha 1 or 2 what happens.

Apparently as I was upgrading my desktop broke. Thankfully, I had a USB key of 10.10, so I just reinstalled.

However, I do that Unity has real potential. Guess what? I was the one who filed that blueprint!

If it works for Ubuntu, then great. It is not something I am interested in so I am sticking with Debian.

I wonder if this will increase the current Debian user base.

I was recently able to successfully upgrade to the Pre-Alpha as well as install Unity. So far there hasn't been any Unity updates, so I'll see by Alpha 3 what happens.
