LXer: A New Intel i965 Gallium3D Driver Is Coming

Published at LXer:

While we are not sure yet what Intel's special Poulsbo driver means yet, we do have some firm information to report this weekend on another new Intel driver: a new Intel i965 driver for Gallium3D is coming.Keith Whitwell of VMware (formerly Tungsten Graphics) has been hacking away at a new i955 driver for this extremely promising graphics driver architecture. While the open-source ATI/AMD developers have been hard at work on Gallium3D support and the Nouveau developers are solely focusing on Gallium3D for their OpenGL support, the official Intel developers haven't dabbled too much with Gallium3D...

Hi emiretsk

Just in case you were not aware, this particular forum (actually, its usual poster, LXer) is not too likely to reply to questions since it's just an automated news-posting robot. Sometimes conversations get started in here, but they often don't go too far.

You might do well to follow the link to the actual story, and then maybe follow any other links *within* the story, to see if some instructions are provided anywhere.

Failing that, of course you can post in one of the usual forums to seek help with whatever it is you are trying to accomplish (and I see you have already done that once for this issue, so you are maybe already on your way to getting some help on this)

Cheers! And welcome to LQ

Sasha
