Funny thing happened when I rebooted Suse. I properly rebooted linux and everything is going fine. The next thing I know is that when I expect to boot into the KDE desktop, I'm introduced to this grey screen where I'm prompted with the login and password prompt. I key in my info and all I have is this grey screen with this yellow message box in the lower left hand corner with a bunch of messages that I don't understand. And in the upper left hand corner, there is a tiny green rectangular box with the word, x console on it. I reboot again and I get the same screen. I do this three or four times and the same screen keeps coming up. I can't boot into the KDE desktop. Luckly, I backed up everything before this happened and everything is fine as far as the good backup. Has anyone ever had this problem before and if so, how did tyou resolve it with implementing a backup?
