Suse 10.2 and Microsoft Lifecam VX6000

Does anyone know of a way to setup the Microsoft Life Cam VX6000 using openSuse 10.2 ?

What other good quality Webcams work with linux distros?

Is there an unoffical setup guide for mysql5 ?

I am trying to set Amarok to use Mysql but i get a failed to connect error from amarok. I followed this guide...

http://opensuse-community.org/Amarok

I appreciate any help with this.

Thanks

Not sure about with SuSE Specifically, but the VX6000 drivers as I recall are available from berlios.de and also you may find more info here: http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca5xx.html

by typing 'lsusb' in a console with the camera plugged in, you will get something like "0x0234 : 0c5432" which is the "vendor : product" code used to identify the device in order to locate the driver.
Google is very handy for webcam drivers as well, as they are coded by a scattered bunch of programmers.
I use a Microdia Mini camera, and it works quite well. I got the driver from the link above.

Thanks for this useful link. I used these drivers for my Microsoft LifeCam VX1000 and it worked at first shot.
