I have had problems with D-BUS my last 2 SUSE installations. Each time I used the DVD Installer it popped up after I plugged in my External Hard drive (Brand: Verbatim, holds 320GB)and I get an error that starts with Dbus.Error.NoReply. I try to restart my computer, (my computer uses verbose mode for it's boot screen) and it freezes up when it says "Shutting Down D-Bus Daemon" and I have to shut it down with the power button. Also, I have had problems mounting CDs. This time I have tried installing with the LiveCD, and so far after 3 boots there has been no problems. What causes this D-Bus error? Is there anything I can do to prevent it? One last things, I also have or had Fedora 11 and Ubuntu 9.04 which have worked fine.
