Yikes! Installation screen unreadable... colors?
Thought I would have a shot at Suse, and went to Linuxisos.org, happy to see its on one CD :-)
Booted the CD, v9.1, and oh my, the screen colors are Red Green and Orange, and the text is unreadable..... In addition to the awful colors, I think I have a resolution issue. My video card is a Matrox Millenium (yes, I know, some day when I have the cash.....) Can't install it, if I can't read it. Is there some way to change the colors, and the install screen resolution, some parameter I can adjust to give me anything else? B&W? I am not a guru, and not comfortable using a text mode installation. ---Edited moments later ------- (((( I am tempted to delete this and run away to hide <g>))))) But better to edit it so no one things anything funny is going on..... I found it by simply looking. Somehow totally missed the bar across the bottom of the screen. Sorry for the wasted bandwidth, and I will repent and look harder next time. Trouble is, help is so great around here, its too tempting to just go looking for it, rather than rooting around myself. I am off to install Suse, and will probably be back. Thanks for the help, past and future.... John |
