Yahoo Messenger on SuSE 9.1

I have problem in connecting to YIM in SuSE 9.1 . I installed RH9 rpm pack which is in messenger.yahoo.com but after that my xwindows dosent work.and it is not posible to connect to yahoo messenger whith gaim and kopete (because YIM protocol is changed).
What can I do to connect to yahoo messenger in suse 9.1 (no matter what ever it is)

You read one of the other 5000 threads on upgrading gaim or kopete and then use that.
Or just go directly to the gaim website and follow the instructions there.

Just upgrade GAIM or Kopete and Yahoo will work again.
