Yahoo Messenger for Suse

hello guys

i went to messenger.yahoo.com trying to download a version for suse, and i found nothing, only the redhat9-rpm version; a debian-deb version and freeBsd-tgz version.

is there a yahoo messenger rpm/tar.gz for suse?

where can i get it?
or,
should i install to the redhat9 rpm version?

:Pengy:
thanks in advance for your replies!!
bye

you can install the redhat rpm of yahoo messenger and it will work fine. The same goes for gaim although it has some gnome dependencies

Why not just use Kopete? I can get onto Yahoo and MSN with it. Its already part of the SuSE CD or downloaded ISO.

Kopete also has great integration with Kontact!

I tired GAIM at the beginning of the year, but I've settled on Kopete. I seem to prefer the KDE way of doing things.

im working on a java app for yahoo right now that will include voice and webcam. for right now the interface will be in swing (but with a nice look&feel class), then eventually try it with a swt interface

1. Download http://www.politicalcrossfire.com/te...nstall.tar.bz2 , and save it to your home directory (important!).

2. Run these commands in the terminal, in sequential order:
Code:

tar -xjf gyach-install.tar.bz2
cd gyach
sudo ./install
