Rep:
xine-lib=libxine?
I'm lucky, I'm now able to see all kind of multimedia files and commercial DVD too on my SuSE 10.0 distro, but I have a question: to get this aim I installed, among the others, a libxine rpm, while I previously only had a xine-lib package, so: are they the same kind of package? Can I remove the xine-lib one without problems? (Only for a HD space recovery purpose)
And have you any idea about the way of removing the by now useless message "This version of xine may lack certain features because of legal requirements (potential patent violations)." from the Xine UI?
xinelib is a version of lib-xine compiled with the support for patented stuff put back into it. To get rid of the message under xine, you'll be best to install the version of xine from the Packman repository.
