X.org problem


Hello all members
I have the following problem .I tried to update nvidia drivers i think something went wrong and i have the following problem.
When opensuse 11.2 is loading X server doesn't start and the following message appears : No monitor found
I have a laptop so there is no seperate monitor.
What should i do? I would appresiate your help

Try this.

At the grub screen, in the boot prompt, enter "init 3" without quotes and allow boot to continue. That should allow you to boot into runlevel 3 (text instead of graphics). When booted, run /usr/bin/nvidia-settings to see if you can fix the problem.

When you are done with nvidia-settings, enter "startx" to see if your repair worked.

When i tried as root /usr/bin/nvidia-settings -g --glxinfo i took
ERROR: Cannot open display ''
When i tried /usr/bin/nvidia-settings i took
ERROR: the control display is undefined; please run /usr/bin/nvidia-settings --help for usage information
