Wrong Keyboard Map and resolution too fine

Howdy!

New Linux user here, just starting to feel my way around. One thing I saw was the keyboard map appears to be German instead of American English. What would be the most fool-proof way to fix this?

The second problem I have is that the monitor only has one resolution available. I'm sure the thing can display a wide range of resolutions, but SuSE only lets me use "1200X Way Too Small"...I'm getting a headache here. Any help?

Hello,

Try to configure with sax2.

If the monitor resolution cannot be modified it's perhaps because your graphic card is not supported ...

Hi,

For your reolution try the following sequence: Ctrl Alt + will make your resolution becomes higher and Ctrl Alt - lower... If it doesn't work you'll have to reconfigure you monitor in your X config
