Wondering how to setup PPPoE from a terminal. Is it possible? (OPENsuse 11.4)

Hello friends of the forum. What I wish to know it's simple, first of all I have downloaded the KDE Live CD of OPENsuse 11.4 and I can't connect to the internet from the Network Manager. Then I want to setup the network from the terminal
For example: I could setup my network in Ubuntu with the following command "pppoeconf", start the connection with "sudo pon dsl-provider" and stop it using "sudo poff dsl-provider".
All I want to know is if there are command lines that I could use to setup/start/stop the network from the terminal with OPENsuse.
In advance, thank you very much to everyone for reading the post and taking time to respond.

Sorry folk, I couldn't do anything with that info. The way I setup the network usually is that I write my DSL user and password in the required fields, then I click the "DSL Connection" button in the network manager and I connect and disconect that way, like now I'm using Zorin OS 5 and that's what I do or I could use the terminal the way I mentioned before in my post.
Thank you and any otehr help you can give will be welcome and appreciated.

Did you try posting there though? You might get an answer from there.

Yes, I have posted in the Spanish forum which is my native language. but the answer that I had was to set it up through Yast. Again, I tried to access the internet that way but I couldn't, when I'm done setting things up a message appears telling me to install a package called linux-atm. This is useless 'cause I can't connect to the internet thru any other way and I also tried downloading the package from the internet as .rpm... once again I couldn't install it because I have another message, that this software is already on the repositories, I'm stucked like running in circles here.
Regards.
