Wine and MS-TrueType Fonts on SuSE 11.1

Hi.

I have installed the placeholder, pullin-msttf-fonts, which I believe is supposed to download the fonts as a part of the online update process, but as yet, no fonts have appeared as they did in 11.0.

I am looking for an alternate way to install the fonts as I think that I need them to make the fonts inside an application I am running in Wine legible. I have tried compiling an rpm from the instructions at http://corefonts.sourceforge.net but find that it generates a long dependancy list, not much of which is satisfied by the repositories that I am using (Including Packman). I don't want to install a large amount of dependancies from outside my repositories!

I have the liberation-fonts package installed, and have tried uninstalling it prior to doing an update to see if that would trigger the installation of the ms-ttfonts, but to no avail.

I do remember once (3-4 years ago!) running a script which manually fetched the ms-ttfonts, but I don't seem to be able to find it now...

If anybody knows how to install the ms-ttfonts on 11.1 I would be grateful!

This method should work in 11.1.

Brilliant - that's what I was looking for!

Thanks very much.

BTW, I noticed that the fetchmsttfonts RPM has now been added for 11.1.

Ha! Ha! Yes - Typical. As soon as the problem is fixed, the fix arrives.

Well, I have my fonts now anyway.

Thanks again.
