win32 codecs installation trouble

I've download the essential package from mplayerhq.hu and copy the files from the archive into the /usr/lib/win32 folder, and even after rerunning the Kaffeine wizard command in the terminal (that says there installed successfully), I STILL cannot play .wmv, and several other win32 "native" formats.

If it is at all possible, I'm looking to get some kind of support so that when I visit a website with a movie, or trailer that it will also display correctly--is the essential package also able to support this.

I'm running SUSE 9.3 pro on x86_64.

I'm at a loss for solutions, I really have no idea why, after following the instructions, I still get absolutely zero success.

Any help would be extremely appreciated!

I don't use SuSe, but I found that I had to use the "all" codec pack from mplayerhq.hu in order to be able to play .wmv files. Try that, instead of the "essential" one (you install it in the same way).
