Will SuSE handle a wide-screen monitor?

Has anyone tried one of the 16:10 widescreen monitors with SuSE linux 9.3? How does it handle it? The 20 inch widescreen lcd's are down to under 300 now.

Just perfect for programming in Java Studio Creator!

Hi,

I'm using a (widescreen) Apple 23" Cinema Display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Only 'problem' I encountered was that widescreen resolution(s) are not (yet?) present by default in the XF86Config file. After manually adding the correct resolutions this minor problem was solved.

I don't think that SuSe has added these resolutions (have a look in your /etc/X11/XF86Config or equivalent), but adding them is not that hard.

I have had 9.3, 10 and now 10.1 on my laptop 15.4 inch widescreen at a resoloution of 1280x800 and it has allways worked fine right out of the box.
