Why is my MP3 player recognized as a camera?

I just purchased a Creative Zen V Plus and am attempting to use it with Suse 10.2. libmpc is installed but it is recognized by Amarok as a camera, even though I went thru the configuration and identified it as an mpc device. The system definitely knows that it's there (it shows up on usb 2-1 as a Creative Zen V Plus).
Can anyone help me with this?

Thanx!

it's just probably recognized as a usb mass storage device, which both kinds of devices often are. is it actually causing any problems?

My Creative Vision:M always shows up as a camera. I believe this is because the libraries used in connecting some MP3-players were originally written for use with cameras. Also I'm sure you can find some more information on the homepage of the libraries involved ;)
