hi,

I want to install a linux server for my office, it's about 25 workstations. i have decided to install suse distro into my ibm server but found that they are 3 different way to go....

1. suse enterprise server
2. suse standard server
3. suse professional 10.1

which one is suitable for me? and what's the different between 3 of them?

Please help...

The SUSE Enterprise line are for when you need support for a long period of time (5 years or more), or better support (service packs, etc).

The SUSE Pro line is supported for just 2 years and at that... only with bare minimal patches for mostly security releated bugs.

If you want a stable, but NOT very current version, the enterprise versions are fine. If these are for desktops, you might be better off with 10.1 on the desktops. You could mix and match a bit (SLES on a server and 10.1 on the desktops).
