lol, downloading the Translation and Application binaries and a quick rpm -Uhv Mo* would have installed upgraded both binary packages.
Or, like it was said above, just rpm -e MozillaFirefox-trans* and rpm -Uhv MozillaFire*
blah blah.. But I agree.. GUI is nice, but don't get away from command line, there are some VERY good tools in command line, in both Linux and even Windows
yup it is.
i think you should just download the source and install it or try something like slapt-get which will do the same thing but only automatically.
You should also be able to update very, very easily by starting Firefox (eg, 1.5.0.3) then clicking on Help > Check for Updates
It's automatic after that.
No, this is not available in Firefox 1.5.2 in linux.

Just install it to your home folder and be done with it, updates wil work just fine. I wouldn't worry about security either nothing should get beyond the home folder and your settings for firefox are there anyways. You will have to edit your shortcuts as well, but from there on it is smoth sailing.
I copy the rpm files into my home directory, i launched Yast, adding the folder to install source , but it prompts me error, it can't write the Url of the local folder, why?
