USRobotics modem Not Found (9.1 Personal) ???

Help!
I have a standard linux box that is only 9 months old with a std.56K USRobitics fax/modem that was Not Found during installation. Red Hat9 and Xandros 2.0 both found the modem and I can't believe that Suse 9.1 doesn't recognize it. I moved it to a different slot and tried Every possible setting with no luck. In RedHat and Xandros, when the modem was activated there was a little "Click" and the same Click when it was Deactivated but with Suse 9.1, I don't hear that Click which seems to indicate that it is a "hardware detection" problem.

Any ideas of what to do next?

Thanks,
Jeff

Have you tried going to the US Robotics site to see if there are any special drivers there or even the Suse site?

I had the same problem and after getting the part number ( or model number ) when to their site and found a RH RPM for the modem, and every thing worked on my 9.1

I'll dig through my papers and get the model # of the modem and get that RPM update.
Thanks
