We are having a strange issue where /usr/bin/udevinfo will start going crazy and max out the CPU until we manually kill it. On a reboot, itseems to start eating away at the CPU.

From what I've read about udevinfo, it has more to do with usb devices and such, so I have no idea what a server would be launching it.

The physical machine is a Dell PowerEdge server w/ plenty of CPU and
memory.

Any ideas whats going on?

Perhaps your udev is too new for your kernel? Try a newer kernel…

This is the stock kernel that came w/ the distro. I also noticed hwscan is also maxing out the CPU.. Any ideas?
