troubles with automatic update in Suse 10.3

Hi!
I'm running GNOME Suse 10.3 from 2 Months and until now all works without troubles. Now in the Yast automatic update icon shows "238 additional updates, that i can't install. When i click "Install", it shows the password prompt, i enter the password, then appears the installation window, shows .... all ok.. "enjoy your day" and after that the icon is still orange and showing the same -"238 additional updates to install". Sometimes even the installation bar dont appears - just after the password prompt all dissapears. Can someone help me please? The same happens somethimes with the other Yast utillitys - "install software" for example - after the password prompt nothing happens.

It sounds a bit odd that you have been using openSUSE for two months and then suddenly there are 238 updates available. Was the updater working before you added some additional repos?

You might want to try to do a manual update from yast. Hopefully this will update the RPM database. If this does not work, try to go to the terminal in runlevel 3 and run YOU.

Good Luck.
