Question Trouble with Wine Tools / Xdialog

Hello,

I am running Suse 9.2 (dvd install)
Everything seems to be running fairly well as far as the O/S in concerned, but when I try and use WINE and play a game such as StarCraft everything will be fine. It will install ok and load the game. Only problem is my keyboard and mouse will no longer function.
Now I havnt configured WINE very much, mainly because I dont know how. I looked in the config file and changed it so that it emulates windows xp rather than windows 98.
I have found this tool "WINE Tools" , which to my understanding is an easier way to configure WINE.
When I go to install the rpm file with either of these files (not sure which I should use)
"rpm -Uvh winetools-2.1.1-jo.i386.rpm"
"rpm -Uvh winetools-2.1.1-jo.src.rpm"
I get an error message:
error: Failed dependencies:
Xdialog is needed by winetools-2.1.1-jo

So I searched around and found a website for this Xdialog rpm.
"had to take url out sorry"

And downloaded: Xdialog-2.1.2-1.src.rpm
I try and install it "rpm -Uvh Xdialog-2.1.2-1.src.rpm" and it does its thing (really quick).

But even after doing that I still am unable to install WINE Tools, as it gives me the same error message regardless. Even after closing the consol, and rebooting.

Does anyone have any idea how I can fix my problem of getting my keyboard/mouse working? Or getting WINE tools installed (I presume this will have keyboard settings)?

Anyway please let me know,
Thanks

You've installed the source code (".src"), so you need to go to the directory where it was installed (usually under /usr/) and enter the following commands (assuming you've installed the development tools)

root# ./configure
root# make
root# make install

(The root# is the terminal prompt, indicating that you're logged in as "root." You'rs may differ.)

It might be easier if you look for a binary distribution.

Try:
root# yum install winetools-2.1.1-jo.i386.rpm

Yum should automagically check the dependencies, find the appropriate needed rpms, and install them.
