torrentsniff in Suse 10.0, how to make it work

Any Suse users using torrentsniff? It's just a small utility to check up on how many seeders, leechers, and a few other details about a torrent. Instead of giving me the details I always get only the help page. I suspect the version in the apt repository was compiled incorrectly. It would help if one of you Suse 10.0 users could give it a try, then tell me if you have the same problem.
