Installing Thunderbird 1.0.6 on SuSe

Download Thunderbird 1.0.6. from mozilla.org/products/thunderbird. Extract the download to the /opt/ directory using the super user mode of Konquerer and then run the file "Thunderbird". Follow the prompts giving your E-Mail server settings. You can drag-and-drop from Konquerer the "Thunderbird" file to your taskbar. A window entitled "Non-KDE Application Configuration" will pop-up. Click on the standard icon to the right of the Executable text box and you can select the Thunderbird icon from KDE's list.

Happy Emailing,

Kevin Tough

Or you could just install from Yast and have the magic take care of everything for you.
