the messages displayed during booting in 10.3 are visible only on pressing escape


In openSUSE 10.3 installed on my laptop on booting the progressbar with green background appears allowing user to press escape key to see messages.In my desktop the messages are visible by default.Is there any setting through which I can do same in laptop.

In /boot/grub/menu.lst change splash=silent with splash=verbose. If you want the classic UNIX style boot messages (without the Opensuse logo), change to splash=native.
