System fonts unreadable; SUSE 10 (fixed)
Hi I'm new to the forums. I've been trying different distros of Linux for the past year and a half and I think I finally found one that works for me, SUSE 10 is great!
The only problem I have with it is the menu fonts in Firefox, Konqueror and varius applications are unreadable, almost the same shade of grey as the background. I've been messing with the color settings in the control center but they have no effect on these menus. I think they were readable when I first installed the system, what could be wrong? I cant figure out how to change these font colors so they are readable. I'll upload a screenshot if that will help. Thanks in advance, Clint |
I fixed the problem by disabling anti-aliasing for fonts

Hi, I fixed it by switching on to the maximum possible resolution on my Dell laptop and then choosing appropriate font size. It came out even a bit better than windows.
Hope it works for you. Regards Mandeep |
Also there seems to be a problem with the dark blue color scheme that makes system fonts unreadable.
