Question Suse Upgrade from 12.3>13.1

I downloaded 13.1/64 bit and burned to disk w/o error

2. Installed to net book without error.

a. Netbook opened to 13.1 flawlessly

3.Install to desktop (12gig ram, 64bit) no errors

4. Error - After upgrade Grub splash screen shows 12.3 and loads normally. On the left side of Grub screen '13.1' is showing, is inaccessible to click on. In 12.3 kinfocenter says 13.1.

Have I discovered a new version of Open Suse - 25.4???

The netbook opened flawlessly to 13.1 all I did was move the dvd to another machine.

In Terminal -

linux-at9c:~ # zypper lr
# | Alias | Name | Enabled | Refresh
--+---------------------------+------------------------------------+---------+--------
1 | openSUSE-13.1-1.10 | openSUSE-13.1-1.10 | Yes | No
2 | repo-debug | openSUSE-13.1-Debug | No | Yes
3 | repo-debug-update | openSUSE-13.1-Update-Debug | No | Yes
4 | repo-debug-update-non-oss | openSUSE-13.1-Update-Debug-Non-Oss | No | Yes
5 | repo-non-oss | openSUSE-13.1-Non-Oss | Yes | Yes
6 | repo-oss | openSUSE-13.1-Oss | Yes | Yes
7 | repo-source | openSUSE-13.1-Source | No | Yes
8 | repo-update | openSUSE-13.1-Update | Yes | Yes
9 | repo-update-non-oss | openSUSE-13.1-Update-Non-Oss | Yes | Yes

Ok Suse experts what happened? and how to correct??? Or am I stuck with Opensuse 25.4? I would be happy with 13.1.

No more upgrading until this gets straighted out.

If it is only the screen image then look at the image and correct it. I forget where it is and may not be called a common name like jpg or gif as I recall but image manipulation software should be able to look at it. Or just use a new splash image.

Wink Re: 12.3>13.1 Upgrade

Hi Jefro

Thank you for the response. I'll take a look at the splash screen. At a guess, I think it may go deeper than that, but as I said, it's just a guess.

You can look at grub command line too and see what is called. Kernel ought to be latest I'd think. It would show also in uname -a (I think)
