this is the error message i get when i start up suse 10.1 64bit update it tells me i have 200+ updates to get. any help is appreciated
I have the 32-bit versions which might be entirely different, but I'ave had a bitch of a time getting the update/zen/rug software to work.
What ultimately seems to have worked for me is shutting down the Zen updater and installing updates through YaST online update. The posts I've seen on this recommend updateing the YaST/libzypp/rug/zmd software first and then getting all the other updates.
Rug I found to be completely buggy until the most recent set uof updates, so I'd avoid it until you've gotten all updates through YOU.
The www.opensuse.org site has complete info on sources. The Jem report also has a great article on enabling certain features in SuSE 10.1, including support for 64bit users.
