Question SuSE Linux 10.0 Trash Files

While toying with - My Computer
SDA Drive Icon (I have a SATA drive)
Properties (Right Click)
Meta Information

I discovered that almost 75% of this drive is now used.
I have not installed any new software since installing SuSE Linux 10.0, and I make sure the Trash Can icon on the desktop is empty.

I also discovered that the following location...

/toot/.local/share/Trash/files

seems to have a lot of the old .jpg photos I once viewed and deleted.

Even though I have emptied the desktop Trash Can, are they actually still on the computer in this location. If so, how can I empty this pathway of these Trash files?

Any advice offered will be gratefully accepted.

Compliments of the season to all

if /toot is your user account directory, you can run rm /toot/.local/share/Trash/files/* either interactively or from a cron job or from your ~/.bashrc file.

If not, then you can create a cron job as root to do it.
