Suse Linux 10.0 partially installed?

Oh boy i think i really did it this time. I was "updating" my perfectly operating Gnome 2.10 Suse Linux 9.3 when it suddenly went to hell.

I added to my apt sources the suse guru gnome updater. Well it went through ok but when i rebooted the machine (force of habit), it showed the 9.3 login screen alright, but when i logged into it, it displayed the Suse Linux 10.0 initializing screen window.

Also, some things seemed to have changed. It looks a little different but its still gnome 2.10. i think i may have brought down some new libraries or something. Anyways, its buggy as hell.

I can still log into KDE perfectly and it runs great. But is there any way to bring back my previous gnome environment?

This is weird man.....

why dont you just uninstall gnome completely and then install it again from the cd-rom/dvd set?
