With Open SUSE 11.2, using Evolution, I would like to save selected emails, complete with attachments if possible, to another disk or a USB pen drive, in the same format or a readable format.
Or otherwise how can I save the emails in order to transfer them to another drive with another installation, of say SUSE 11.4.
Likewise is it possible to save or transfer Firefox bookmarks to a new installation on another drive. Thanks.
FWIW: I no longer use SUSE, and never used evolution, but....
The FireFox transfer of bookmarks is outdated. It is easy to export your bookmarks as an htm file and import them on another machine, but 'XMARKS' or 'FireFox Sync' would be the more elegant solution: making your bookmarks and certain other features securely available almost anywhere.
Firefox Sync is available for Windows, OS-X (MAC), and Linux.
Xmarks has fewer problems, and supports Firefox on Windows, Mac, and Linux. In addition it supports some other browsers: Leopard, Snow Leopard, IE, and CHROME!
