SUSE email import from outlook express

I installed suse 9.1 on a toshiba satellite laptop. It's dual boot with win2k and suse. Installation is easy.

Now I want to import my old outlook express file into the Kmail. My inbox of outlook is around 270MB with more than 400 emails. The importing process always stop in the middle. They imported only 12-40 email dependent on different tries.

Anybody have similar problems? How to fix it? Should I find some other program to do this job?

Beni,

Have you saved / exported your Outlook Express info to a .csv file?

You can save it to the MS side of your box and then re-boot and go looking for the place that you saved your distinct files -- Contacts, InBox, Sent items and then import each one seperately.

This should work.

Alternatively, you could do what I did:

I have a SuSe 9.2 WINXP dualboot system with a shared FAT32 Partition (writable by both SuSe and XP)

I use Mozilla Thunderbird as my mail client and I put the mail directory on the shared partition.

I then imported the Outlook Express mail into Firefox.

Now I have only one mail box accessible from both SuSe and XP.
