suse and azureus


Is there a proper way to install azureus rather than just extractin it and then running shell script ?

It's java-based, so there's really no installation other than extraction and use of the script.

All I did was make an icon on my desktop that points to that script, give it the proper icon, and that's it. Click - there's Azureus.

Thats all there is to it.

oh, I put/extraced to /home/osbie/bin where i put my local executables as only i use the computer. If you have more than 1 user you might put it where all can use it.

Myself, I don't like a lot of icons on the desk so i used menu editor->new item-> point it to the script. same for its' icon. also nice to associate all .torrent files with the supplied Azureus torrent icon. (left click on a .torrent file->properties, click on the icon, click on other icons and point to where the icon is- (in you az directory)).
