SUSE 9.3 /window xp dual boot : error messages

Greetings
I have recently installed suse 9.3/window XP/
9.3 failsafe OS.
These days(after my unsuccesful attempt to
configure DNS and DHCP to connect Suse to
net thro cable) i get the following errors
if a try to bring up Suse 9.3.

linux kernel ACPI-0484 error getting cpu index for acpiid ox3
--- 0x4
linux kernel:end request:I/O error,dev fd0, sector 0

Please note that the system boots from hard disk and
there is no floppy drive.

It allows to login as root but goes off to meditate and I have to do hardware reset to recover.

I have the original CDs(CD 1-3 suplied with the
Pc ,have downloaded cd4 & 5).

Suggestions please.

Thanx.

'Suggestions please.'

Forget about 9.3, and install the newer 10.2 - would be my best advice
