SuSE 9.2 KDE 3.3.?

Today my SuSE watcher added some patches for KDElibs3, so now it is 3.3.0-whatever. What is most curious to me is, the version of KDE 3.3 is it 3.3.0, or due to their diff patching, is it 3.3.2.

Noticing in the past with 8.1's KDE 3.0.5, which was actually 3.0.5a in most respects, and some other packages were of different versions. The over all is 3.0.5a, but some are not. I ended up building some 3.0.5b packages to bring the version up to date, well as far as 3.0.5 was concerned.

So, is this still the same method of SuSE patching, and should I, if desired, build my own 3.3.2 packages?

3.3.2 is the program updates (as of before 3.4) - yast just installs critical system updates so the version of kde is still 3.3 (technically 3.3.0). Confused - you soon will be...

That is pretty funny, and I am sure that I will be confused if too much thought is placed on it. Then, with that in mind, would it just be simpler to build my own 3.3.2 packages at i686, which this is the arch that is desired in the first place on my machine?

I am not quite ready to move to 3.4. Waiting seems to be a better option right now since it is just been applied. Perhaps in six months when the version hits 3.4.?. I must admit though, it is really tempting to be up to date with others, but the problems are not what I need at this time. Building my own packages seems to be a nice option.
