SuSE 9.1 Personal + KDE 3.3 + Sound error
For some reason every time I boot up, the master sound slider is at zero and the PCM is at zero.
I have to configure the sound card (audigy 2) after every boot and turn up the volume. It warns me about the number of cards not maching the installed ones or something like that? It used to work flawlessly, is it a KDE 3.3 bug? |
do you have onboard sound as well that may not be disabled through the bios?
|
Well it was disabled, I've checked in XP and there is no sign of it there.
Ive got to upgrade to kde 3.3.1 when I get a chance, maybe that will fix it. |
You might pop off to http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/0...ndsilence.html
for a workaround. Apparently, KDE stamps on ALSA. HTH B |
