Suse 9.1 keeps losing my volume settings
 

every time I reboot my machine all my volume settings return to 0. Any idea how I can get it to save my settings. I've tried serveral sound cards, it doesn't seem to be the problem.

Once you run alsamixer to adjust the settings, run "alsactl store" to save them. That should do it -- J.W.

Try this item in the SuSE support database . I have not experienced the problem, but it matches your symptoms.
